Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, met with Mawlawi Abdul Jabbar Takhari, Consul General of the Islamic Emirate in Karachi, Pakistan, to discuss the situation of Afghan refugees.
During the meeting, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir praised the efforts of Afghan diplomats in addressing the challenges faced by refugees and emphasized that all issues are being handled in close coordination with the relevant agencies.
Mawlawi Takhari reported that 4,500 Afghan nationals have been released from prisons in Karachi and noted a significant decline in incidents of mistreatment against Afghans.
He added that a special committee has been established in the city to address refugee concerns, which has been actively and promptly resolving the problems faced by Afghan citizens.
