Macron Discusses Gaza Peace Efforts with Turkish and Egyptian Presidents

French President Emmanuel Macron held separate phone calls on Saturday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the ongoing war in Gaza and diplomatic efforts toward a two-state solution.

In a post on X, Macron said he spoke with President Erdogan about the situation in Gaza and the prospects for an international conference focused on achieving a two-state solution.

In a separate post, Macron shared that his conversation with President El-Sisi centered on “the unacceptable humanitarian situation in Gaza,” warning that the continued blockade and intensifying Israeli military operations were pushing the territory toward famine and mass displacement.

The French president called for urgent international action, including a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and the immediate delivery of large-scale humanitarian aid.
