Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in Istanbul on the sidelines of the 51st Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers.
The two officials discussed the upcoming Afghanistan-China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Dialogue, along with key topics such as bilateral relations, regional connectivity initiatives, trade, and transit cooperation.
Foreign Minister Muttaqi expressed optimism about strengthening diplomatic ties and expanding practical cooperation between the two countries through enhanced engagement.
For his part, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar voiced hope for tangible progress in major regional initiatives, particularly the development of the Afghan-Trans project.
