Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered outside the White House on Sunday to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, DC. Waving Palestinian flags and chanting “Free, free Palestine,” they held signs reading “Stop Arming Israel” and “Wanted: Netanyahu.”
President Donald Trump is set to meet Netanyahu on Monday, marking the Israeli leader’s third U.S. visit in six months. Protesters, including members of American Muslims for Palestine, plan a press conference to condemn the visit and call for an end to U.S. support for Israel’s war on Gaza.
Despite global ceasefire calls, Israel continues its military campaign, in which over 57,400 Palestinians—mostly women and children—have been martyred since October 2023. The ICC has issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes, while Israel faces a genocide case at the ICJ.
