He warned that without immediate intervention, approximately 2,750 families may be forced to abandon their homes. Alhaj Turabi Sahb emphasized that requests for assistance have already been made to various institutions to address this crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, Ms. Isabelle, the Head of OCHA, commended Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority for the swift pace of its operations, stating, “We are grateful for your efforts in advancing work efficiently.” She acknowledged that, compared to previous years, OCHA’s budget has decreased, but affirmed their commitment to providing timely assistance to affected families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms. Isabelle added that OCHA prepares an annual plan with allocated budgets for various sectors and assured that the drought issue in Badghis Province would be raised with other humanitarian organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
