Discussions were conducted on the topics presented in accordance with the agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, the Minerals Prioritization Document and the proposal for allocating mining areas for the processing of large-scale mineral resources were presented for deliberation. After a comprehensive evaluation, these documents and proposals, with the incorporated amendments, were approved by the Technical Committee and referred to the Economic Commission for final decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the proposal for extending the canal from the Kokcha River to the Abdan Desert was discussed, and the necessary decisions were made. A report on the feasibility study of the second phase of the Kamal Khan Dam (Qala-e-Afzal Dam) was also presented by the designated committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The report was approved by the Technical Committee and referred to the Economic Commission for final approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Towards the end of the meeting, the proposal for controlling and reducing single-use plastics was discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">After a thorough review, the National Environmental Protection Agency was instructed to enhance the proposal by considering the opinions of relevant ministries and agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, it was recommended to hold consultations with the private sector for the practical implementation of the proposal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held on Dec 23, 2024 at Marmarin Palace.
